Our History

The history of NANOU DONUTS HOUSE begins in 1977, when Giannis Nanouris as a student at Athens Technical University in the faculty of Food Technology, was asked by an uncle of his living in the US making donuts, to send him Greek raw materials’ samples and properties (flour, margarine…) in order for him to use them for Greek style donut recipes.
So, the following year his uncle brought donuts to Greece, the first ever in the Greek market. In 1979 Giannis Nanouris founded his first central production. In 2010 he officially named his central production NANOU DONUTS HOUSE.

Today NANOU DONUTS HOUSE has over 125 sales points, controls systemic sales of over 10 million euros and it is active in open and captive markets in Greece.
